- Heather Kitching - www.learning2ride.com
- I use training techniques and principles that are based on the horse's own system of communication and behavior, principles that are based on their "nature." Horses communicate through body language and establish their hierarchy based on who can push whom around--whose personal space is respected and whose isn't. To stay safe, the horse relies on the herd dynamic and the concept of advance and retreat, or rather retreat and advance. I utilize all of these concepts, integrating them into my training program. I speak the language of the horse to establish myself as the leader of our herd of two and then make sure to prove myself worthy of the job. For example, new and potentially scary things are introduced in the horse's own "advance and retreat" fashion so as to build trust and reduce fear. The horse sees that I understand it and that I make sense to it--I'm speaking it's own language. Thus a true partnership can start to form.

- Justin Mundt - www.justinmundthorsemanship.com
- In 1999, Justin started his Horsemanship Program for horse owners of all disciplines. Since then Justin has taken horses that have never been started, or horses with problems such as bucking, rearing, bolting, head shyness, you name it - and has transformed these horses into the respectful and willing partners that their owners have been wishing for. We're often asked if Justin's methods work on gaited horses, draft horses, ponies, Arabians, barrel racers, in English disciplines, etc. The truth is, "The Mundt Method" is for any breed of horse and any discipline. This non-denominational training works for horses of all breeds and all personality types. No matter what you like to do with your horse, or how long you've owned it - you can accomplish your goals with Justin's methods. Having your horse developed into a safe, respectful partner is not something you should just wish for. Let Justin show you how.
