SONG
WRITTEN FOR TREVOR
Wild
horse expert and country/western singer Willis Lamm shared with me a
song he wrote and performed on his new Hearts of Iron CD, called "Coming
Home" that he has written and dedicated to our
son Trevor
Scott, who is serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq. In Willis'
words about this song: Nearly all of us have friends and
loved ones who are serving overseas in uniform or are families
of military serving overseas. Coming Home is about the
experience of the soldier who is finally getting back to his
family and is dedicated to fine people like Randle Thomsen,
Trevor Scott, and all the others who have put themselves
in harm's way when their country called on them.
I'd like to
direct you to a link where you can sample-listen to the final
rough mix of this wonderful, touching piece, sung by Willis
Lamm -- Coming Home:

This song and many more beautiful
pieces fill the new Hearts of Iron CD. Check

SONG FOR AMERICAN SOLDIERS SUNG BY
A CHILD WITH THE SAME NAME AS OUR SON: TREVOR SCOTT
The family of a young boy with coincidentally the same name as our son, Trevor Scott, contacted me. Their Trevor, who had a liver transplant last year, asked "Make a Wish Foundation" to allow him to sing with recording star, Toby Keith. Please take the time to listen to this amazing song, "American Soldier" sung by a very amazing and brave little boy, alongside Toby Keith --- This young man is truly an American Idol! -- click on this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdPR8q-Jt4M

We are so

"This is not simply a fight against terror – terror is a
tactic.
This is not simply a fight against Al Qaeda, its affiliates and
adherents – they are foot soldiers.
This is not simply a fight to bring
democracy to the Middle East – that is a strategic objective.
This is a fight
for the very ideas at the foundation of our society,
the way of life those ideas
enable, and the freedoms we enjoy."

Brownlee, Acting Secretary of the Army

Showing Gratitude to Our U.S. Military - There is now a wonderful movement being spread to teach everyone a simple sign language we can all use when we come across one of our soldiers, to show them the gratitude we all feel for them -- it's called the "Gratitude Campaign." It means more than you'll ever know to let each soldier you encounter know that you appreciate the selfless jobs they are doing as they serve our country. Click on the following link and watch this very short clip to learn a simple sign language gesture to show your gratitude to our military -- and pass the word!: CLICK HERE
