"Dear Sylvia:
I wanted to send you a follow-up. Back
in June '04, I wrote to you and asked you if old
abused horses stood a chance of ever being turned
around. You responded to my email, and for that
"Bull," the horse, and myself thank you
from the very bottom of our hearts!
I just wanted to take a moment to let you
know that in the last 8 months (I know that seems
like a long time, but he gets worked on mostly just
on weekends) our rescue horse, "Bull,"
has made a recovery! He will let us touch his ears,
loads in a trailer wonderfully. He has gotten much
easier to catch, he seems to have settled down in
the pasture, and believe it or not has started gaining
weight. He owes that all to you and the wonderful
skills and knowledge that you were so kind to give
to me. I do not believe I can ever say thank you
enough! I know now that his time left on earth will
not be spent afraid! That means so much to me!
We are no longer riding him that much due
to his age. Just on short trail rides and around
in the yard. But we handle him every weekend. We
just wanted to make his last years good ones. And
you are responsible for making that happen! Again
thank you so very, very much! Without
your help he would have spent his last years scared
and without love and affection. And no animal should
have to live like that.
I would like to thank you for taking the
time to respond to your emails, not everyone does
that. Some seem only interested in selling products
and not caring for the animals. You are not like
that; it is very refreshing to find someone in the
training business that has a personal touch as well
as professionalism."
