Watching Sylvia With Horses!

 

SYLVIA SCOTT IS AN AMAZING WOMAN!!!! Anyone who can get to her to spend some time watching her in action NEEDS to see her work! We all have years behind us spent around the equine (showing, breeding, simply enjoying horses), and I can personally say that I am now moving back to the kindergarten level when it comes to addressing these beautiful creatures now! A quote from Sylvia: "We can all learn from one another"; she lives by this, and I can tell you with no ego involved that I truly believe in this statement and went to a whole 'nother level watching Sylvia with some of our horses! She respects rescues and is working with a couple of rescue groups, as well. I had to personally SEE Natural Horsemanship. I had a small grasp of the concept from reading and researching, but watching a session with Sylvia will AMAZE ANY EQUESTRIAN. My mom has a mare who would not let anyone get near her, but the mare working with Sylvia in the round pen (I was there for her third lesson with Sylvia) was mind boggling for me. The mare never took her eye off of Sylvia, worked off of hand movements, and when Sylvia asked for her, she came to her and stood calmly, trusting Sylvia enough to stand there. There are no words that I can write to explain how I felt watching a very abused horse with no trust in humans respond like she did with Sylvia. I am still thinking about the experience!
