(Click on the video picture to read more information) Finding the Try: A Key to Communication Between You And Your Horse In this three-tape set, Mark works with three different horses, all at different levels in their training, from old and experienced to young and green. Some of the subjects covered in the video are: "stopping and backing," "lateral work," "impulsion," "collection" and "rooting on the bit." During each session Mark gives thorough explanations of what he is looking for, what cues he is applying and what the horse is doing that constitutes a "try." Once the "try" is established, it can be rewarded and built upon to help accomplish the task at hand. Also, due to the subtle nature of many of Mark's cues, as well as the horse's reactions to those cues, slow motion photography is used throughout the videos. In an additional segment, Mark works with a two week-old filly on the initial stages of handling – including safe, quiet and effective ways to halter and lead for the first time. The approximate running time for the three video set totals approximately three hours. (Video 1: 75 minutes; Video 2: 75 minutes; Video 3: 36 minutes) You can order these Mark Rashid videos (and more) on his website at: www.markrashid.com or CLICK HERE to go directly to video ordering information page (scroll down that page to find "Books, Videos, CD's") |
