LETTER OF THE MONTH:

September 2011

Hi Sylvia, I have your DVDs and I've learned so much from them and have applied all the techniques you give to form a stronger bond and leadership with my mare. We've come a long way in the past year! I've emailed you in the past about a few issues we've had and your advice has made all the difference!

Hi Sylvia, I bought one of your training DVDs a while back. Thank you! It has been really easy to understand and learn from.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

September 2011

Just another thank you note. The rescued Belgian has been doing very well. He actually puts his head down for his bitless bridle!!! Indeed, even before I got one just right for him, he was already responding softly to just reins in his halter. He goes to the ladder and stands quietly for me to mount, after I have put on his perfect treeless saddle. Everything we do is very unhurried, quiet and peaceful. He follows me everywhere, as would a dog...but he spooks readily. Always if the dog runs out of the woods, or through fields of tall grass, etc. Puddles. Whatever. Did so the other day pretty badly. I stayed on because of the saddle, but it was dicey. Finally got him calmed down and reassured enough to get off where I usually do.

Something has to be done, thought I - and I immediately went to your website and looked up spooky horse. I loved it. The "Oh don't be alarmed, it's only silly me playing" had me laughing aloud as it is so the sort of thing I say! Have printed it out and shall go step by step. Never had a spooky horse before. This horse has been a real challenge - and love - for me. A totally different being from the wreck dropped off. We will get to the point where we can go for rides pleasantly and safely. And that will be in large part due to you and the wonderful availability of just the right sensible suggestions. What a generous gift of your time and expertise! Thank you.
