LETTER OF THE MONTH:

October 2008

I have used the Whispering Way™ Training Wand during several clinics and numerous training sessions. I have found it very handy and useful as an adjustable "arm extension" for a variety of training and desensitizing applications. It is a well designed tool of quality materials and workmanship. Since I fly to many of my clinics in the U.S. and Europe, I especially like the benefit of the wand retracting to a smaller size in order to pack it in my bag for travel.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

October 2008

Hi. I am 13 and I have been using your Whispering Way™ 12-Step Total Training System program to train my 2 1/2-year-old filly. I am really amazed how well it has worked. Thanks for making that DVD program so I could train my horse with natural horsemanship instead of the other [old school] ways. I have seen the way other people train horses and I always want to cry for the horse's sake.

We have the first Whispering Way™ natural horsemanship halter and lead rope that we ordered from you, and my daughter is using it with her horse. It is working wonderfully and we love the "natural way" of training [we are ordering another].

Hi Sylvia. Just to say a big thank you for your prompt service; the DVDs arrived today and I have already tonight played the first one and I am going to read the book in bed. I find equine psychology fascinating!

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

Dear Sylvia, I stumbled across your web site earlier this week and have spent a couple of hours each day since reading your advice. What a wonderfully informative site it is! ...Thank you for being out there and thank you for being so generous with your knowledge.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

October 2008

Hi Sylvia. I found your web site not long ago, and as a relatively new rather inexperienced horse owner, I find your information so valuable. Your site is the only one I have found to offer free, complete, descriptive practices for natural horsemanship to help both horses and riders, improving the relationship of the horse and owner, ultimately leading to a much better life for the horse, as well as owner and horse safety.

As a horse lover and a horse advocate, it is obvious that you share your information so as to help owners better care for their equine friends. You are not in it just to sell your merchandise. So many horse trainers on the web provide minimal instruction, which may be helpful for some more advanced horse owners, but certainly not enough to provide meaningful relationships for amateur horse owners. When I read those sites, I become more confused and overwhelmed as there is not enough information to allow the techniques to work consistently.

As in my profession as a healthcare provider, I feel people have a responsibility to share information freely that will improve others' lives. When I follow your advice it works most of the time. It also makes it clear that it is the owner, not the horse, that is at fault when the technique isn't working. It is my feeling and experience that a properly trained horse is more respected and ultimately leads a much better life when living amongst humans. I will be ordering your training package within the next few weeks to expand upon my relationship with my horse, but I wanted to let you know what a great service you do for horses and owners alike.

Hello Sylvia. I was looking for a list of other horse rescues in PA/OH for an article for a friend, and saw the list of Horse Rescue organizations on your web site. Thank you for compiling that for people. It's a wonderful resource.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

October 2008

Thank you SO much for your reply, Sylvia. I was looking at your web site last night before I sent you the email and your work looks really interesting. I am a bit new to horses (I grew up with them, but haven't had my own "grown up" one until now) so I am looking at any new ideas that I can get. I will definitely look into your site more, but it looks really impressive. I really appreciate your response to my question and taking the time out to write back. It really shows your love for horses in your willingness to help a stranger. Thanks again.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

October 2008

Hello Sylvia, Thank you for your Whispering Way™ 12-Step Total Training System DVDs. They have helped me start my 2-year-old paint and now a 6-year-old PMU mare. I would watch your tapes and go into the round pen and work with my, then, 2-year-old paint and if things didn't go like I expected, I'd come back in and watch the tapes and see where I went wrong. This 6-year-old quarter horse/paint has not been ridden. She seems to have right and left eye reversed and responds only to your techniques. I tried a local lady to come in and work with her while I go to Iraq shortly (as an electrical inspector); after the 3rd lesson, twice scared into the round pen fence, then she sent her and whipped her as she went off; at that, I fired her on the spot. She said she was [another leading NH trainer/clinician]-trained. This was trying to gain respect and get the halter on. [Following your techniques] the next day, after a half an hour, I had the halter on, leading beautifully and accepting the blanket (she really is a sweetheart), but she lacks confidence. Right now I have her accepting the saddle from both sides with cinch strap lightly pulled up, but not cinched yet; I stand above her on my two-step and lead her in on either side; she ties beautifully. I use a slip ring. She backs up willingly now, stands for farrier, trailered well bringing her to my place, about 3 months ago...Thank you for your time and your training videos!
