LETTER OF THE MONTH:

November 2006

I'm loving your DVD - Round Pen Leadership, so much! I especially wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed the DVD! I can't tell you how much I've learned. I have actually watched it several times, just hoping to absorb more information with each viewing. Thank you for letting me know how to start with my new horse!  I know I will watch it many more times before I get my horse in December. I instinctively know about the bonding process, but I'm so glad to know to look for training holes. If I start out right from the beginning, I'm hoping he will adjust to me and to his new home easier. Also, he's young, so I want to try to do everything right and establish the correct foundation for him! I really love how people are realizing it's more effective to show kindness and empathy to their horses.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

November 2006

I wrote to you about 10 months ago about a 7-month-old filly who did not want the lead rope to be placed upon her halter. I want to thank you for what you had advised. She used to want to come in as soon as she was placed out in the paddock. Now she wants to go out all the time. Thank You!

Have spent all afternoon on your web site. I really enjoy it and plan to book mark it for further references. I've always wanted to do what you do! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you for responding so timely. You have a wonderful website - extremely informative and quite detailed. I will read the information you suggested. I am also looking forward to the new DVD that will be available. Please keep me up to date on its release. It's comforting to know I can ask a question and you care enough to take time out of your busy schedule to answer it! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

November 2006

Hi Sylvia. Thanks for all that info, you have really helped me out a great deal with all your knowledge on horsemanship. Sure has taken me a while, but I finally got there with the horse. The horse came around to accepting the lead rope and is a much calmer horse to be with, after all the proper handling techniques that you pointed out to me in your emails and your web page. I really appreciate all that you have done for me and especially the horse with all that info. (baby steps) break it down to smaller increments, who would have thought that a little piece of twine would scare the horse (I am amazed). I will use this piece of twine more often in working with horses as I feel it shows that you do not need a thick and strong lead rope to train a horse all the time. Thanks from Downunder!

I just wanted you to know that your website is great! After spending some time on it, I felt I could trust what Sylvia Scott had to say and that I really wanted to learn more. Our family is relatively new to the horse world and though horses are primarily recreation for our daughters, my husband and I have found enjoyment in being around horses as well. I can't wait to get your DVD.

L. W. - Alberta, Canada
