LETTER OF THE MONTH:

August 2007

I have just finished previewing Sylvia Scott’s latest training package – “Whispering Way 12-Step Total Training System” – and would like to offer my congratulations on a really awesome compilation of information. As one who practices natural horsemanship techniques, I appreciate skill in others and especially Sylvia's ability in this effort to provide essential material in such a straight forward, understandable manner. Sylvia has long been known as one of the preeminent ground training experts in natural horsemanship circles and she proves this emphatically in this extremely comprehensive 3-DVD package containing nearly four hours of jam-packed material. Each one of the 12 steps builds on previous information, starting with the essential introduction of bonding between horse and human, and finally translating all of these ground maneuvers into safe riding practices. It is difficult to pick out just one item from all that is contained in this set, because each one of the steps has information that the horse owner will find eminently useful, but I particularly like the “Two-Person Approach” that she discusses in Step 10: “Introducing The Rider in-Saddle.” This two-person approach typifies Sylvia’s focus on safety at all levels, but also her concern for the horse to help it through what is likely a new and stressful challenge. I know with Sylvia also that her support does not stop merely with the purchase of the training packages, because that is just the start of an ongoing relationship she then develops with the client, and she will be there to answer, nurture or coach whatever the needs are. This is definitely a training package that should be in every horse owner’s library!

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

August 2007

Sylvia, I can't thank you enough for your fantastic program!!! I've taken a completely untrained 5-year-old Quarab gelding and in just 2 months I am now able to put a saddle on him and ride!! The most amazing part though is the bond we've formed with your techniques. I read every book and watched every horse show I could before I bought your program. What stood out about you was your emphasis on our bond with our horses and your conviction that we can indeed do this ourselves. My horse and I are forever in your debt!!! Thanks again for a great program, web site and all your help! You are amazing!!!

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

Sylvia, I emailed you a couple of weeks ago about my 3-month-old colt being aggressive at feeding time. Thanks for your help on that! The colt no longer turns and kicks out at us.

I've been very impressed with your round penning; I have seen a big difference in my horse in just the short time I've started using your Round Pen Leadership DVD. Plus what you are teaching makes sense to me. I'm learning a lot about my own body language and communication with my own horses through using your video.

Sylvia, I just wanted to let you know that the methods you taught in your Round Pen Leadership DVD work like magic! My usually stubborn 2- year-old paint filly was following me around the round pen, licking and chewing, in only 20 minutes! Thank you so much for making these techniques available to everyone. I'll be ordering your Whispering Way 12-Step Total Training System program on DVD soon!

I love your website. I have taken away so many good training aids, it has made training my barely-handled 10-year-old Draft mare so much easier to work with! I also ordered the EquiPedic saddle pad you recommended, it's an awesome pad along with my Barefoot Treeless saddle! I appreciate your advice. Thanks!

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

August 2007

I stumbled across your web site by accident and after reading some of the training questions and answers, I wanted to thank you for giving sound, logical, and most importantly, safe and kind training tips. It is wonderful that people can bounce ideas off you and that your responses are in the best interest of the horse. So many people are cruel and violent in their training and it just doesn’t work! Again, thank you. We need more professionals out there like you.

LETTER OF THE MONTH:

August 2007

Dear Sylvia, I am so glad I found your web site. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for making natural horse training understandable. My horse of twenty three years (a most wonderful, incredible mare) recently passed away and now we have two untrained horses, one is an adult mustang that is frightened of people and the other is an quarter/arab colt that is so pushy and bitey. Your question and answer section has helped me understand what to do and how to do it and how a horse thinks and why they act like they do. I have wanted for so long to learn natural horse training techniques and started out with viewing some of the [another leading NH trainer] "shows" (I call it that because it seemed like a stage show, showed results but not how to get there). I had gone to [that NH trainer's] clinic, saw him a couple times at my state fair, bought one of his training tapes, even his book, but it still remained  a mystery until I tapped into your web site. I am very excited because now I have the means to work some magic, thanks to you. Thank you for your a-z explanations of how to do an exercise. I wish you gave clinics in my area of the country (I live in Idaho). But I am going to buy your products. Thanks again,

M. K. - Pocatello, Idaho
