Anatomy in Motion 1: The Visible Horse
International clinician, senior Centered Riding® instructor,
author and equine artist, Susan Harris, and Centered Riding®
instructor, Peggy Brown, show in this fascinating presentation,
in living color, how the horse's bones and muscles work
in motion. It includes: slow-motion studies of walk, trot,
canter, jog, lope and gallop; what creates good and poor
movement; how to help your horse move better, and much more.
The program is clearly and simply presented and is ideal
for 4-H, pony club and horse owners; yet it is also a valuable
learning experience and teaching tool for instructors, trainers,
equine massage therapists and other horse professionals.
You will come away with a far better understanding and appreciation
for your horse. (50 minutes)

Anatomy in Motion 2: The Visible Rider
Susan Harris, and Peggy Brown as the "Visible Rider"
wearing a skeleton suit, demonstrate how a rider's anatomy
works in English and Western riding and jumping. See and
understand how the human body is put together and how it
can perform in unison with the horse. The Visible Rider's
transparency allows viewers to observe how human movement
is interpreted by a horse, and how balance and straightness
are dynamic, ever-changing states. The Visible Rider shows
how to follow the horse's movement at all gaits, and also
demonstrates common riding faults and their effects on both
horse and rider. Clearly and thoughtfully presented, this
videotape will be helpful for English and Western riders
of all levels, instructors, trainers, and judges, as well.
Seeing is believing – you may recognize some of your
own riding habits, and learn how to improve them. (50 minutes)
