- Bert C. Gates - www.gatespracticalhorsemanship.com
- Bert Gates of Gates Practical Horsemanship is a John and Josh Lyons Certified Trainer. He graduated and was certified in Parachute Colorado in November 2008 after 6 months of intensive training. Bert has a passion for helping horses and their owners find common ground and work together as a cohesive unit. Bert believes that a solid foundation for the horse, both young and old, is the key to building a partnership of horse and rider. Bert enjoys working with young stock, establishing that foundation as well as building on that foundation with performance and pleasure horses alike. Problem horses have a special place in Bert's program as he works to reestablish the control and trust needed to reform the unruly or uncontrollable horse. Bert is a firm believer that Trust and Respect are the byproducts of a solid program of establishing control without fear or pain. Control means controlling the different body parts. In addition to his 30+ years as a horseman, Bert served 20+ years in Law Enforcement prior to moving into the equine field full time. During his years of service Bert served as a Mounted Patrol Officer and as a patrol officer. Bert credits his years of service dealing with difficult humans with enhancing his patience with horses.

- Asa Pippin - www.asapippin.com
- John Lyons Certified Trainer.
Our horse training program is extraordinary!
We do not teach by using brute force, but we
believe in letting the horse figure out what
we are asking by utilizing the pressure and
release system. This method teaches your horse
to become very light and responsive and helps
him to think clearly and to stay calmer while
he is being asked to perform. Whether we are
training your horse or teaching you as a rider,
we try to make training very simple and fun
for all.
